Transportation Options

Each dealership is a little different, but there are 7 main transportation options that a customer might utilize while their vehicle is being serviced. Please check your dealership’s specifics before offering these options to your customers

1. Wait

This option is for customers who wish to bring their vehicle in for service and simply wait for the work to get completed. The Service Advisor will communicate with the customer face to face with this option. We want to do our best of limiting waiter appointments to MAINTENANCE services only whenever possible.

2. Drop-off

This option is for customers who wish to bring their vehicle in for service, meet with their Service Advisor quickly, and then leave the dealership. Service Advisors will keep the customer abreast of what is happening with their car over the telephone. Once the work is complete, the customer will come back to the dealership, sign off on the work, and head out. THIS IS THE TRANSPORTATION OPTION THAT SHOULD BE USED MOST THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY.

3. Shuttle

This option is for customers who wish to bring their vehicle in for service and then have someone from the dealership drive them to where they need to go. Check your dealerships specifics as far as shuttle radius and hours prior to scheduling this option.

4. Loaner

This option is for customers who wish to bring their vehicle in for service and pick up a courtesy vehicle provided free of charge by the dealership. Please note not every dealership will offer this option. Customers receiving loaners will need to provide a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a credit card to cover any incidentals.

5. Rental

This option is for customers who wish to bring their vehicle in for service and pick up a vehicle to use while their vehicle is being serviced. With this option, there is a fee to the customer.

7. Uber/Lyft

A growing number of dealerships are capitalizing on the new ride-hailing advancements. This option is for customers who do not want the shuttle, or perhaps the dealership does not offer a shuttle service. Check your dealership specifics as far as radius, and if the service is offered to and from the dealership.

8. Night Drop/Early Bird

This option is for customers who wish to drop their vehicle off for service after hours. The customer will need to fill out a drop envelope with their personal information. A Service Advisor will call the customer the following day to check them in over the telephone.

9. Pick Up/Delivery

This option is for customers who wish to have service completed on their vehicle without ever leaving their home or work. A team from the dealership will go to the customer, pick up the vehicle, bring it to the dealership for service, and then return it to the customer. Please note that this option isn’t available at all dealerships. Please check your dealership’s specifics before scheduling this transportation option.
